Only green plants can make their own food. How do they accomplish such a feat? If humans could do that, think of the time and money we’d save! Join us to explore some the unique traits all plants share. We take a virtual tour of the Pine Barrens to take a look at some of the common plants, some with uncommon abilities.

Length ~45-60 minutes Cost: no charge

We’ll explore:

Why is the Pine Barrens such a tough place for plants to make a living?

Why (and how) would a plant eat an animal?

What does it mean to be a carnivorous plant?

Are there ways plants cooperate with one another?
