I love learning about John McPhee's Pine Barrens, it's an interesting and fascinating story. John Volpa was great. -Elena C.

We’ll focus upon each of McPhee’s nine chapters which condensed a story about the land and its people, with wider implications for the nation and the environmental movement.

Adapted from our popular bus tour which is based on McPhee’s landmark book, this program was originally developed for the 2020 Pinelands Short Course. It was sold out when the annual conference was cancelled due to the pandemic.

The Pine Barrens is a microcosm for many environmental concerns:

It’s all about the water!

Visionary action can make a difference.
